- Organization Data: Folder names and structure you create.
- Account Data: Google account email and profile information (only if you sign in for cloud sync).
- Timestamps: Date and time when items are saved.
- Platform Information: Source platform (Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, etc.).
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively for:
- Providing the core bookmarking and organization service.
- Syncing your data across devices (optional, requires sign-in).
- Enforcing usage limits (Free tier: 100 items, Premium tier: 1,000 items).
- Improving the extension's functionality and user experience.
3. Data Storage
Local Storage
All data is stored locally in your browser's Chrome storage by default. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Cloud Storage (Optional)
If you sign in with Google, data is synced to Firebase Firestore (Google's cloud database). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
4. Third-Party Services
Curator uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase: For authentication and cloud database.
- Google OAuth: For secure sign-in functionality.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Right to Access: View all data we store about you in the extension.
- Right to Export: Export your data in JSON or CSV format anytime.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of all your data.

- Local Data: Stored indefinitely until you delete it or uninstall the extension.
- Cloud Data: Stored until you delete your account or use the "Delete All Data" feature.
